F D &C Red Concentrate Denaturant: A chemical denaturant (decharacterizer) for purposes of identifying poultry products for disposal other than human food. All ingredients making up this poultry decharacterizer are non-toxic so that the product is safe to handle even in its concentrated form and do not adversely affect byproducts intended for pet food. The identifiable red color penetrates the poultry parts making them easily identifiable. Has prior USDA authorization as a denaturant for poultry products intended for disposal for purposes other than human food.
